Our Partnership with Veronica Springs Church

The partnership between Faith Children’s Home in Uganda and Veronica Springs Church (formerly First Baptist Church) in Santa Barbara began with a friendship.

In 2004, Pastor Bob from Veronica Springs Church met Pastor Hudson Suubi in Kampala, Uganda during a large evangelistic missions conference. Pastor Hudson was helping organize the event, and during the gathering they spent many hours together witnessing hundreds of people come to faith in Christ and many receive healing. They also traveled into surrounding villages, prisons, orphanages, schools, and impoverished neighborhoods to share the Gospel and encourage the people.

Through that experience, Pastor Bob and Pastor Hudson formed a close friendship.

Beginning in 2005, Pastor Hudson started visiting the United States to build relationships with ministry partners and share about the work God was doing through Lugazi Miracle Centre Church and Faith Children’s Home. Each visit, he passionately preached about Jesus and shared testimonies of how orphaned and vulnerable children were being restored into families, educated, and cared for.

Around 2012, Pastor Bob introduced Pastor Hudson to Pastor Hans, who was then leading Veronica Springs Church. The church embraced the ministry and began supporting the work in Uganda.

Today, Veronica Springs Church serves as the U.S. partner that helps facilitate financial support for Faith Children’s Home and Lugazi Miracle Centre. The church has also sent a mission team to visit Uganda and see the ministry firsthand.

During the COVID pandemic, Pastor Hudson was unable to travel internationally, but he has recently resumed visiting the United States to reconnect with partners and share what God continues to do through the ministry.

Those who know Pastor Hudson often describe his greatest gifts as encouragement, joy, and an unwavering faith in God—believing that when people say “yes” to God, He can do extraordinary things through ordinary lives.
