About Bishop Hudson & Mercy Suubi

Bishop Hudson Suubi Itembe's life is a testimony to the transforming power of God. Born on May 2, 1972, he gave his life to Jesus Christ on June 24, 1988, at the age of 16, leaving behind a family background rooted in witchcraft. Since that life-changing encounter, he has devoted himself to serving God, sharing the Gospel, and bringing hope to countless lives across Uganda. Hudson is married to Mercy Suubi, and together they celebrated 25 years of marriage in 2025. They are blessed with five children:

Godwin Gospel Suubi (24, as of 2026), who graduated in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Uganda Christian University (UCU).

Emmanuel Davis Suubi (21, as of 2026), a first-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) at Kampala International University (KIU).

Gift Jesse Suubi (21, as of 2026), Emma’s twin, currently in his second year pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) at Uganda Christian University (UCU).

Trinity Promise Suubi (18, as of 2026), currently in Senior 4 (Form 4).

Stanley Redeemer Suubi (15, as of 2026), currently in Senior 2 (Form 2).

Bishop Suubi is the founder of Faith Children’s Home, established in 2003 to support orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda. As of 2026, the home supports 120 children, and 85 alumni have graduated in various fields and are now working professionally.

In 2012, he founded Faith Junior School in Lugazi, Buikwe District, providing quality education aimed at transforming children and shaping a new Uganda.

Ordained into pastoral ministry on October 28, 1998, Bishop Suubi serves as Senior Pastor of Lugazi Miracle Centre – God’s House of Miracles Church. From this base, he has launched numerous life-transforming initiatives and planted 26 churches.

He has held several leadership roles, including:

  • Vice Chairman, Lugazi Pastors and Elders Forum (LUPEF)

  • Bishop and Overseer of 285 Pentecostal churches in Buikwe District for 11 years

  • Public Relations Officer for Province "C" of the National Fellowship of Born-Again Pentecostal Churches (NFBPC)

Bishop Suubi hosts a weekly radio program on Impact FM 98.4 every Saturday at 6:30 a.m., reaching millions with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Since 2004, he has served as a board member, advisor, and trustee for three international NGOs and ministries operating throughout Uganda.

Since 2018, he has been Regional Overseer for the Central Region and currently chairs the NFBPC House of Regional Overseers, overseeing the Central Buganda Region, which includes 9 provinces, 29 districts, and more than 8,000 Pentecostal churches.

Through his ministry, leadership, educational initiatives, and charitable work, Bishop Suubi continues to strengthen communities and transform lives across Uganda and beyond.
